On 15 July 2025, Richard Michalet gave a talk entitled ‘A global study of hidden diversity reveals the large-scale impact of human activities on biodiversity’ as part of the Intermèdes series organised by OASU.

Summary:

A global initiative shows that, by studying total plant diversity (observed diversity and hidden diversity), many native plant species are absent from their natural habitats in the regions most impacted by humans, contributing to the erosion of biodiversity.
