Toufic Mazloum | PhD student at the EPOC laboratory, presents his work on geological and seismic modeling

In a video interview, Toufic Mazloum explains his thesis work on the geological and synthetic seismic modeling of the sub-basin of Aínsa, in the Spanish Pyrenees. He presents his research topic, the issues of his field and his background at the EPOC laboratory.

In the Sedimentary Geology team (GéolSed), Toufic Mazloum explains how modeling and generating synthetic seismic images can improve the interpretation of subsurface structures. It also discusses the choice of the Ainsa sub-basin as a study area.

The objective: to introduce the general public to the methods used in geoscience to explore the subsoil and better understand the research carried out within the EPOC laboratory.

This video format is part of a process to promote the work of EPOC and is intended, in the long term, to be developed in the form of interviews broadcast on social networks and communication media of the laboratory.
