PLASTINEST workshop on the transport of microplastics in estuaries to be held on 4 July 2025

The PLASTINEST Workshop on the transport of microplastics in estuaries will be held on 4 July 2025 at the Maison Écocitoyenne in Bordeaux. This event is organised as part of the ANR PLASTINEST project and will serve as a satellite event to the GDR Plastique Environnement Santé conference (1-3 July, Bordeaux).

The programme includes a panel of exceptional guest speakers and will provide a great opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss advances in the transport and fate of plastics at the land-sea interface.

 

The programme includes :

  • Invited lectures by international experts.
  • Poster session open to all participants.
  • Practical demonstrations of innovative laboratory, field and modelling techniques.

Topics covered:

  • Vertical transport in muddy environments.
  • Intra-tidal to seasonal scale variability.
  • Large-scale transport processes.
