The INSPIRATION project (Engaging through New Conservation Strategies Inspired by Immersive, Locally-Based Artistic Research and Nature Observation) is an action research project supported by the ERABLE programme (‘Telling the story of living things to take action’ – https://erable.archi.fr/ the-erable-programme), led by the PNR Médoc and involving several research laboratories (ENSAP BX – UMR 5319 Passages; University of Bordeaux – UMR 5805 EPOC; CEARC – University of Versailles), a collective of artists via the national theatre “Carré-Colonnes”, as well as numerous stakeholders in land management (SMIDDEST, Region, Department, SMIDDEST, ONF, Conservatoire du Littoral, environmental associations, etc.). The project focuses on the “One Health” concepts and aims to apply them to environmental health challenges in the water-based areas (marshes and estuary banks) of the Médoc. The EPOC laboratory leads the retrospective (long-term) aspect of constructing these new narratives of regional biodiversity.
