Age of Paleoenv. early H. sapiens from E. Africa

In this project, we propose to combine studies of marine and continental sedimentary records to (1) establish a chronological link between continental and marine sequences for eastern Africa by analyzing tephra and cryptotephra in marine sediments and (2) improve paleoenvironmental reconstructions of continental paleoanthropological and archeological sites with remains of H. sapiens.
